Jose Veras Is Back...

Chicago, IL- Well it looks like everybody's favorite pitcher is back to the Major League club.

Jose Veras, who went to the fifteen-day disabled list for a left oblique strain, has made his return to the Chicago Cubs. Playing for the Smokies on a rehab assignment, he made an appearance in four games going 2-0. He gave up one hit, no runs, and struck out three in four 2/3 innings pitched.

So far this year Veras is 0-0 with a 15.88 ERA. He lost his closing role after blowing two saves. In his career he holds a 19-22 record with a 4.04 ERA.
